I had the opportunity to check out the ultimate foodie event, the Gold Standard, a few weeks ago at the Auto Museum in Los Angeles. This is an annual event that showcases Jonathan Gold’s favorite eateries around the city. Doors opened for VIP at 12pm and we were able to hit each booth before the crowds herded in an hour later. Needless to say, my belly reached capacity quickly. We devoured all sorts of goodies from foie gras panna cotta from Drago Centro to banh mi with porky belly (and ears) from Palate. Definitely one of the best eating experiences I’ve had in the city of angels.
